Since the founding of GINZA MARRONNIE P.C. in January 1988 by patent attorneys Junzo Ogawa and Morio Nakamura, we have been committed to providing high-quality services related to the creation, acquisition, protection and exploitation of intellectual property, with the primary focus on the needs and interests of our clients, for nearly 40 years spanning the Showa, Heisei and Reiwa eras.
To date, our firm has received high praise from many domestic and international clients for our wealth of practical experience and our courteous and prompt services.
There are currently 7 patent attorneys and 13 team members in our firm. With the kind of mobility unique to a medium-sized firm like us, we have a lineup that is capable of dealing with cases in a wide range of fields from the acquisition of intellectual property rights to their utilization.
As for patents, we have patent attorneys with advanced expertise in the fields of, for example, mechanics, chemistry, and electricity, particularly in the fields of cutting-edge steel, ceramics, and semiconductor technology, most of whom are from corporate research and development departments. With regard to patent related cases, we also have team members who are fluent in foreign languages and have legal expertise. Further, there are multiple experienced patent attorneys who are able to handle design and trademark cases; we have built a system with which our clients can fully rely on us without any concerns.
Furthermore, our firm also places importance on a global perspective in a way such that ever since its founding, the firm has cultivated a great number of long-term relationships of trust with foreign intellectual property associates and law firms. Through these foreign associates and firms, we have established a global network that now spans over 30 countries, which allows us to provide solid and high-quality services for intellectual property rights procedures overseas.

The predecessor to GINZA MARRONNIE P.C., Ogawa Nakamura Patent Firm, was established in January 1988 (Showa 63) by two patent attorneys, Junzo Ogawa, who was in charge of patent matters, and Morio Nakamura, who was in charge of trademark matters, at the current location along Marronnier Street in Ginza 2-chome, Tokyo.
Later, in 2012 (Heisei 24), the firm made a fresh start as “patent professional corporation, GINZA MARRONNIE P.C.” with two new partners, patent attorneys Shiro Fujitani and Masaki Mabuchi.
Then, in 2022 (Reiwa 4), the firm changed its name to “patent attorney corporation, GINZA MARRONNIE P.C.” and has been operating under this name ever since.
