Mr. Takuya Yano, Japanese Patent Attorney and Vice President of our firm, has been appointed as a Specialist Advisor to the Intellectual Property Center of Tokyo Customs, Ministry of Finance, effective from FY2026.

In this role, he will serve as an external expert with extensive knowledge of intellectual property systems and technologies, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and designs, in order to support the proper and professional enforcement of border measures against infringing goods at customs. He will primarily provide technical and legal opinions to assist in determining whether suspected goods and cases involving applications for suspension of import or export constitute intellectual property infringement.
